Subtropical splendor along the Palm Beaches, stretching inland from Tequesta to Boca Raton takes on added luster with myriad shopping options. On fabled Palm Beach, Worth Avenue stands as a beacon for world-class boutique shopping with names like Salvatore Ferragamo and Van Cleef & Arpels. In downtown West Palm Beach, Clematis Street District teems with more than 50 shops and galleries, plus dozens of restaurants and clubs near the Intracoastal waterfront. CityPlace, also in West Palm Beach, mixes retail, more than a dozen restaurants, a 20-screen theater, open-air plaza, and a cultural arts theater, all near the convention center. Palm Beach Mall, on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard at Exit 71 off I-95, has Dillard’s, Macy’s, JCPenney, Sears, and more than 135 specialty shops.
The Gardens Mall, on PGA Boulevard in an enclosed garden setting, is anchored by Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, Sears, with more than 160 fine shops. In Palm Beach Gardens, between Riviera Beach and Jupiter, Downtown at the Gardens features a Whole Foods Market, a 16-screen Cobb Theater, all sorts of restaurants, an Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa, and retailers including Z Gallerie, Sur La Table, and Storehouse. To the west, The Mall at Wellington Green, anchored by Nordstrom, Dillard’s, Macy’s, and JCPenney, features dramatic skylights, a cappuccino court, and special visitor discount programs.
Boynton Beach Mall, anchored by Dillard’s, Macy’s, JCPenney, and Sears with a freshly renovated Florida garden setting, has more than 135 specialty stores, and a Muvico 16 Theater debuting in late 2006. In Delray Beach, the Atlantic Avenue District combines brick sidewalks and gaslight-style street lamps with boutiques, and shops for antiques, artwork, and gifts. Town Center at Boca Raton, on Glades Road, features Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Sears and more than 200 specialty stores from Coach and Kate Spade to Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., and A/X Armani Exchange, Crate & Barrel, and Pottery Barn. Also in Boca Raton, Mizner Park on the Plaza Real provides for entertainment at a cinema, art museum, and an outdoor amphitheater, dining at Mark’s on the Park, and shopping at retailers from Bang & Olfsen, and Chico’s to Fatigues to Suzi Saint Tropez.
